Baccalaureate will be held on Sunday, June 9 at 4:00 p.m. at Godwin High School. This is a great event, and the last chance your kids will have to gather as a group with friends, faculty, and family (think photo ops!!!!)
Again this year, we will be offering parents the opportunity to purchase flowering plants in honor of their kids (and to have those kids recognized in the program!), as well as offering Seniors the chance to audition with a special song, reading, etc. to be performed during the event.

We hope you will make plans to join us! The ceremony is approximately one hour long, and will be followed by a “Candy Bar/Buffett” in the Commons. Each Senior will receive 4 tickets for family members.

Dear Parents, Students, Teachers, and Members of the Godwin Community:
On behalf of the GHS PTSA Board, I want to welcome you or welcome you back to Godwin for the 2012-13 school year! There are three important ways for you to support the work of the PTSA, which remains the only organization at Godwin High School that directly supports every student and family in our school.
1st: Become a PTSA member, A DEAL AT $5.00 PER PERSON, and help our school achieve our 100% membership goal this year! Anyone can be a member and we encourage parents, students and grandparents to join. We appreciate everyone’s participation and support. Several PTSA Scholarships are available only to Seniors who are members, so sign up NOW!
2nd: With each Godwin family participating in our Eagle Direct Donation Drive, with a suggested amount of $30.00 per family, our PTSA can provide new and informative programs that interest both parents and students! The donation takes the place of other fundraising programs and is tax deductible and eligible for company matches through many employers!
3rd: Godwin is always looking for family participation through volunteering with our students and our faculty so look for our volunteer form in your BACK TO SCHOOL packet and return it as soon as possible! We APPRECIATE any time you can find to help us, the earlier you reply the quicker we can get you signed up for a slot you have chosen.
In addition to our monthly programs, operating the CAVE (our school store), recognizing student and faculty achievements, providing scholarships, offering hospitality to our teachers and staff, legislating for our students, and honoring our Seniors through the Baccalaureate Ceremony and Reception, here are just some "EXTRAS" that the PTSA has been able to help fund in the past years:
*New Portable Stage for Gym *Expansion of the Visual Arts/Ceramic Program
*Funding for a Second Challenge Day *Funding for the Library to buy new books
*Updating Honors Display Case in the Main Lobby *Renovations for Exceptional Ed Classrooms
